My name is Tiare Boyes and I have been in love with the ocean and it's creatures since I can remember. At age 12 I did my open water course, at 15 I did my nitrox, advanced and dry suit and at age 22 became a PADI professional. Since then, I have been working under the waves from the Caribbean to the Pacific, Mexico to Alaska as a divemaster on live aboard dive vessels, dive resorts and local dive shops. My absolute happiest place to be is floating in a kelp forest, surrounded by dusky rock fish and puget sound rock fish. Golden bull kelp fronds above me and emerald green water below. My favourite dive site around Vancouver would have to be woodlands, my favourite dive site in Canada is Watts Narrows near Baker Inlet, and my favourite dive site of all time is the Inian islands in Icy Straits, Alaska. I'm glad to be a part of Sea to Sky diving because it's a great community of dive professionals who are always ready for underwater adventures of all kinds.
