Dive Dry with Sea To Sky Scuba!!!
Here in Vancouver, we love to dive all year round. But let’s face it, our local waters are typically cold. Don’t let that stop you from exploring a whole new underwater world and experience diving in the World’s colder climates. Thanks to our seasons, we are fortunate to have some of the world’s greatest marine biodiversity in the World. In the Winter time, we get some of the clearest waters when the temperatures are low. The best way to stay warm and comfortable while diving here is to use a dry suit.
During our PADI Dry suit Specialty Course, you will experience how to Dive DRY and learn how to safely operate a dry suit. You will be able to extend your bottom time and stay warmer underwater in colder ocean conditions; all so that you may enjoy diving wherever you are or just extend your season of diving well into winter.
We start off our evening at 6pm by introducing everyone in the class, organizing equipment and arranging transportation. Afterwards, we go over the Dry suit manual knowledge reviews. By reading the manual and watching the video before class, you’ll be ready to get into the water with your instructor and start practicing diving in your dry suit.
You will typically meet at the store at 9am with your instructor, pack dive gear and drive to the dive site. You will complete two dives at one of our local dive sites: Whytecliff Park or Porteau Cove. If you choose to dive from the Topline boat charter you will meet at the store at 7am and dive 2 beautiful offshore sites in Howe Sound. After the dives, you will meet back at the store with your instructor to debrief your day and fill out your logbook.
You will need to be 12 years of age and open water certified or hold an equivalent certification.
You will need your own personal dive gear (Mask and Snorkel) which can be purchased at the store with a course discount!
A passion for the ocean!
